センターの紹介

　2018年5月1日に、東京大学医学部附属病院臨床研究推進センターの教授・センター長に就任いたしました。東大病院はわが国の医学・医療を牽引する研究病院として、日本発の革新的医薬品・医療機器等の開発などに必要となる質の高い臨床研究の推進に貢献し、数多くの優れた成果を世に送り出してまいりました。2016年3月には厚生労働省により医療法に基づく臨床研究中核病院に認定され、本邦における臨床研究の中核病院としての機能を発揮しています。 　臨床研究推進センターは、医師、薬剤師、看護師、臨床検査技師等の各種専門家が、「医薬品医療機器等法」、「臨床研究法」、「人を対象とする生命科学・医学系研究に関する倫理指針」等に則って、臨床研究が高い倫理性と科学的妥当性を確保し円滑に実施されるように、申請および実施を支援する組織です。院内で実施する臨床研究の支援だけでなく、東大病院が主体となって実施する多施設共同研究なども支援する組織として拡充してきました。 　臨床研究を推進し、新しい医療技術を創出することは大学病院の使命です。また、臨床研究により科学的根拠（エビデンス）に基づく最適な医療を確立することも、人々の健康福祉と医学の発展に貢献する重要な位置付けにあります。これからも東大病院にとどまらず、わが国の臨床研究の推進と発展のために、微力ながら貢献していきたいと考えております。今後ともよろしくお願い申し上げます。 臨床研究推進センター　教授・センター長 森豊 隆志

Message from the Director

On May 1, 2018, I was appointed as professor and director of the Clinical Research Promotion Center.
As a research hospital that leads Japan’s medical science and medical care, the University of Tokyo Hospital has contributed to the promotion of high quality clinical research necessary for the development of innovative medicines and medical devices originating in Japan, and has produced many excellent results.
In March 2016, the hospital was approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a clinical research core hospital under the Medical Care Act.
The Clinical Research Promotion Center is an organization where trained professional staff comprised of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, clinical laboratory technicians, biostatisticians, and administrative staff provide support from application to implementation of clinical trials, so that trials are conducted smoothly while ensuring high ethical standards and scientific validity in accordance to the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act, Clinical Trials Act and Ethical Guidelines for Medical and Biological Research Involving Human Subjects. We have expanded as an organization that not only supports clinical research conducted in-hospital, but also multi-center studies conducted mainly by the University of Tokyo Hospital. It is the mission of the university hospital to promote clinical research and develop new medical technologies. In addition, our hospital is also in an important position to contribute to the health and welfare of people and develop optimal medical care based on scientific evidence through clinical research. We will continue to contribute to the promotion and advancement of clinical research not only at the University of Tokyo Hospital but also in Japan.
